Catch Up... again

So I said after we got back from Canada that I was going to try and post something every day from Canada so I could be all caught up...

Obviously that didn't happen.

But Jeremy and Crystal are getting married this Friday and I would REALLY like to try to be caught up before then. So my goal is to post... A LOT in the next week.

Now... my problem is that... I don't post all of one day in one post... cause that is a lot of pictures. I am trying to split them up into different topics of each day and such. So please be patient while I post a lot...

Also.. some things have happened between Canada and now and so I will be posting those things too. Most likely in the middle of all the Canada pictures.

Mind The Gap

So James and I decided that this would be a cool shirt.

There has been zero progress on it though. So I don't think it'll really happen. But it would be fun.

 

If we ever do decide to make a shirt, I'll definitely show it to you.

First day in Canada

After Martin's Cove, we headed to Nebraska and picked up Melissa, Ryan and Vidalia. I am unsure why I have zero pictures of that. But after lots and lots and lots of hours... we finally arrived at Grandpa's house in Toronto, Canada!

James and I had saved and saved over the previous year so we could have fun in Canada. Below is a picture of Rachael with our money.

(she really wanted to hold a lot of money....)

 

This was about... $750. Yeah. We saved.

After being in the motorhome for A LONG TIME, we just could not sit anymore. At least I couldn't. So I asked if James and I could go to the Eaton Centre (an underground mall.. it's pretty cool). Everyone else decided to come as well. 

So here we are on the Subway.

This is Ryan and Vidalia at the Eaton Centre. This was a fountain and it was cool. It would take about 10 - 15 minutes to fill up and once it was completely full, it would "drain" out (at least it looked like it did) and a few seconds later, the water would SHOOT up in the air. Maybe 30 feet or so in the air. (it could have been 20 feet) but it was pretty fun to watch.

Vidalia loves water. So much.

She just wanted to play in it SO bad.

Future Crafts?

While we were at Martin's Cove, we watched a little video about the pioneers and in this room was all sorts of things I found very interesting.

I thought this would be SO cute with more modern colors. So... idea #1.

 

I love charcoal. And this picture reminds me of charcoal (I don't think it was charcoal.).

It would be fun to do a pioneer drawing with charcoal.

Family

Before we left to go back to the Motorhome via the gators, I asked if we could get a picture taken right on this bench. Why? Well you see, when I did Trek my second time, after coming out of the cove with my trek family, we stopped at this very bench and took a "family" picture. I was going to add that picture to this as well.... but I am unsure where it is. 

So for now, you can see my lovely family right now and when I find it, I'll re post the picture with this picture.

Wildlife at Martin's Cove

Before we got on the gators to head to the actual cove, we walked around the little town and had guides tell us stories and such. Right right before we got on the gators, we were sitting on these benches waiting and this rabbit (it was fairly big) just came hopping right up to us.

It hopped and hopped and hopped... And stopped right in front of me.

The cove is a very sacred place and so the gator's are not allowed up there. So they drove us to a certain spot and we had to walk the rest of the way. However, before we started walking, the guides told us some stories and bore their testimonies.

I found this little lizard and... followed it.

It was at this moment that I discovered how to manual change the focus on my camera. 

Very exciting moment in history.

Martin's Cove

The next morning (Saturday), we headed out to go for a tour of Martin's Cove. Neither my mom or Grandpa can really walk though so we got to take... gators? Basically four wheelers with passenger seats.

On our adventure, we saw some pioneers in the distance! They had a dog with them. We decided Daisy would not last long on a trek and Chloe would run away in search of animals....

So you might not see a lot of pictures of me.... I have gained a lot of weight in the last year and I hate that. I hate pictures of myself cause I feel so ashamed that I let myself gain weight like this. I've been trying to lose it but my knee always hurts so much...

ANYWAYS...
