My Birthday

So as you might know (I think I've told you in another post), I love the zoo so very very very very much. I love seeing animals. It would be a life dream to go on a safari.

Anyways. This year for my birthday, we went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, Utah.

It was super duper fun. They just opened up a new area in the zoo (however, they were renovating some other parts of the zoo...)

Well, here are the pictures I took while we were there.

Now.. does this NOT look like the made up animal in Alice in Wonderland that scoops dirt with it's beak?

I submitted this photo to National Geographic. Who knows how long it takes to look over pictures and pick some... so I may or may not get it published either in their magazine or online. (but I'll make sure to let you know if it does)

The pond with the ducks was SO yucky. But this swan was gorgeous.

After the Zoo, we headed over to the Rodizio Grill!

Here is the first picture I've ever taken on Instagram! I love it so very much! I think it's awesome and it makes me want to get into commercial photography.

Here is my absolute favorite thing to eat at Rodizio....

Grilled pineapple.

I hate pineapple but this.. I love so very much.

It was an amazing birthday and I thank my husband for making it so much fun!

Banks Farewell Party

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this a while ago... but one of my absolute best friends in the world and her family are moving to Baltimore (actually... they already moved.). We decided we needed to get together before they leave and none of us see each other for who knows how long.

So Shay, Nikelle and I decided to secretly have a surprise party and invite some friends from high school!

Here is Colette's baby, Logan. He is gorgeous and I love his eyes so incredibly much!!!

This is Spencer, Colette's husband.

And Colette of course!

What a happy family.

Logan LOVED his food. He would bit the spoon and it was take a lot to get him to let go.

Here be Shay! (This party is at her house!... well, her parent's house)

These next few... I thought they were funny. So enjoy their hilariousness.

Totally looks like the ball is just floating and he is controlling it.

Here is everyone that was at the party.

This is Colette and Spencer's friends, Disney and ... her husband. (I don't remember his name..)

Logan was eating his mommy's necklace.

Greg, Nikelle, Colette, Spencer, and Logan.

While Colette was talking to the Hunsakers, Spencer and Logan went to lay on the lawn. I followed.

Logan is such a cutie. He would get so excited to see his daddy and would crawl so fast to him.

Then he heard my camera...

And gave me one of the best baby photo shoots EVER!

Then he starting crawling over Spencer and I took some more pictures.... thus making the camera noise... So he "ran" towards me.

He gave up on me and went over to hang out with James. Then he just sat there (James was standing behind him... but I made him move so I could take these pictures)

Then Logan found James's shoe laces...

Here are some of my high school guy friends! They are the bestests!

Cameron, Jordan, Jacob, Trevor, and Eric.

They are so funny. I love them.

This is James holding Logan holding a cup.

I love the look on Logan's face.

Love them!

Cute family (those dogs are Shay's)

Cameron was scared of the fire... it was funny.

My best friend and my best friend. (Trevor was always the best friend I could ever have in school! and he still is)

My brain always forgets that if I turn my camera... my hand will be in the way of the flash if I do not move it... So here is a funny picture (because of the pose and the flash)

Baby. It's only the best way to accessorizes.

"Hands Up!"

"Stands Up!"

Colette was thoroughly enjoying covering Shay's dog in grass.

Here be us... we should have had a cuter pose....

At least we're cute.

Logan and his daddy!

Dear Colette,

I have made a copy of all these pictures for you (and the ones not on this blog). I have them on a CD and will be sending them very soon (possibly today since I remembered that I have them...)

Love, Emily.
