Feeling down

So I'm a little sad right now. It's over something stupid but it still makes me feel sad.

James and I went to target to get some stuff (cause we still have money on a target card).

Anyways, we were checking out and all was good. Then when we got to the car, James told me something.

He said that the lady behind me was also pregnant and the cashier asked when she was due. He thought it was funny that she didn't ask me. I must not look very pregnant.

Then we are in the car and he says "there she is." (The other pregnant lady). I'd say she was maybe 2 or 3 months pregnant.

So now I just feel fat.

Shay's Farewell

One of my best friend's is leaving (has left) on her mission to Lime Peru West Mission. Her farewell was on Sunday (Feb. 24, 2013) and she left for the Peru MTC yesterday!

I decided it would be nice and so me, Colette and Nikelle and possibly their husbands, wrote Shay letters yesterday on dearelders.com so that she'll have some letters from us when she gets there. I hope she enjoys them!

At her farewell, they had a breakfast bar and it was super funny because Shay was THE LAST person to eat and even then... she kept getting stopped before she took a bite. This is when she finally sat down to eat.

Five seconds later, (before she took a bite) some people were leaving so she set her plate down.

After about 10 or so minutes, she finally came back. Sat up on the chair and... more people were leaving....

She finally was able to sit down except.... I wanted some pictures before more people came and we were leaving... So once again... her eating was belated.

Here is us. James, Me, Shay, Nikelle and Greg.

I'm looking at these and I can't believe I'm going to put them up on the internet. I do NOT like the way I look. I know I'm pregnant but I'm a fat pregnant! I was a little over weight before I was pregnant and I was not happy then. So seeing that I still look overweight makes me a little sad. (But my goal is to change that after little Boston is born)

Here is Nikelle, Shay and I.

Just Shay and I (if you look close... you can see the necklace James gave me for Valentine's Day)

Shay and Nikelle.

Shay is going to be a wonderful missionary and I can't wait to hear all her stories. She will be the first missionary that I write consistently (at least I hope so).

Chloe's Haircut

So last Saturday, I decided to give Chloe a haircut. When he hair is long she sheds EVERYWHERE. So even though there is snow every where, I gave her a haircut. We've taken her to get a haircut once and as great as it was... I just don't want to pay the money for it when I can do it. It's not as nice looking but it works.

After giving her a haircut, I decided to let her play in the snow so any extra hair on her would rub off.

Her hair was a good inch or two long before I gave her a haircut.

It's super funny cause Chloe has this awesome fascination with balls. And so what I'll do is make a snow ball. And throw it. And she'll run and try to get it... But it's snow. So it just ends up disappearing in the rest of the snow and she gets way confused. It's super funny.

Oh and she'll bury her head in the snow to find it.

The dogs were fighting and it was fun to watch.

Here are some videos of the dogs playing.

FYI: I think Chloe pees in this one...

Valentine's Day

So our Valentine's Day was fun. Yes James was at work all day and I was home alone all day... But it was still fun. James came home with some flowers and a box full of chocolate (every pregnant woman's favorite thing lol). Every year since our first Valentine's (when we were engaged) we have ordered Chili's online and then brought it home and watched a movie. We aren't big on being out with lots of people. I had ordered some ribs and we did the order online an HOUR AND A HALF before we went to get it. We showed up and turns out they don't have any ribs. They were suppose to call us an hour earlier to tell us but they forgot. So I was upset cause I really wanted ribs (still do actually). But I didn't want to try and find somewhere else for us to eat so I just had to pick something else. It was a sad part of my day but it was ok. I got a steak instead and it was yummy.

James bought those flute glasses our first Valentine's when we were married. and when we got our Chili's, we stopped by Lee's and got some Sparkling Cider.

Even though I didn't get my exact order, it was still a very nice Valentine's. I have a wonderful husband and he reminds me daily how much he loves me and I love him too. I'm blessed to have such an amazing guy!

He bought me this very pretty necklace as well.

I enjoy wearing it often. (This is the first piece of jewelry he has bought me since my engagement/wedding ring)

I was planning on making him this awesome cheesecake but things went haywire and it never happened. He was ok with it. He prefers I don't get him things. (but that rarely happens)

Memories by Emily

So I've been trying to put together a website for my photography and I was doing really good on this one free site but then it wouldn't upload any pictures...  which is kind of a big part.

So I gave up and for now I'm just going to have another blog that is purely for photography. I will try to get a website together.

Here is the site MemoriesbyEmily. And here is the first photo shoot I've added to the blog!

The Heslop Family!

I thoroughly enjoyed taking these pictures and love how they came out. My goal with photography has always been to try to have natural looking pictures. I do not believe in over editing and so when I stumbled upon this great way to edit on photoshop without making them look "edited, I jumped all over it!

So once again, I loved taking these and I wish we had more time to take more individual pictures.

I really wanted to take some of each person individual. Full body and closeups. And also some of just Colette and her mom. Then some of her dad and her brother and spencer and logan. And then some of just Colette and her brother.

Just things like that!

So, Colette, if you ever want to do this again with all those ideas, I'm ALL for it!

Nursery Pictures!

So as I promised.... Here are some pictures of the nursery. It's not officially done yet but this is what we have so far.

When we have everything in and are just waiting for little Boston to come, then I will post more pictures!

So first off, here is me at 20 weeks!

Here are all the walls before anything was done (no mudding, sanding, painting or even washing)

I need to find a new home for all of James' hats.

Chloe sitting outside the room (she isn't allowed in)

We had to use a power sander to sand down some of the places we fixed (we accidentally used the wrong mudding)

Just us relaxing for a few minutes.

I put this tape on here :D

(I swear I took pictures of us painting the closet but I can't seem to find them)

well, here is one random one.

I took some pictures of the closet so you could see how crazy it was. The top shelf was all warped so my mom had to screw it down (and now you can't even tell) and then the shelfs in the middle were all... nasty. Even after washing them, they were just stained gross. Also, in all the other rooms in this house, there are the top pipes for hanging clothes and one bottom one. But in this room there is only the top ones (because the bottom one had broke). But I would definitely like the bottom one in here so my mom took the pieces out of a different room and later put that in. (I have some pictures)

This is when I started to go through and paint all the edged our new color (gray).

That's a laundry chute if you were wondering.

We had just painting the closet and so we couldn't put tape around the closet and use the roller so my mom hand painted around the closet.

Here is a good view of the different in white and gray.

This is the last white wall part left.

Here is Chloe watching us.

My mom painting the last white part (we also just painting the ceiling so we couldn't put paint there either)

Chloe again.

This picture isn't a good one cause of the glare but this is with everything done (and tape taken off)

It looks SO much cleaner now.

You can see the different between the closet and the wall.

The dogs were fighting out on the stairs.

Daisy is such a cutie.

Here is one of my mom painting in the closet.

I think this is when my mom was painting the corners of the wall and the ceiling.

Chloe.

Me not breathing in fumes. I could have just stopped after breathing. You seriously can't breathe through those things!

Here is my mom making a new board for the bottom pipe of the room.

Here is the one she stole from a different room. See the difference in colors?

This pictures was taken on Tuesday. 24 weeks!

My mom came in when I was at work and painted these.

If I find any of the hidden pictures. I will be sure to post them. But for now this is was I have!

My mom might fix the wood trimming (they are slightly faded) so we aren't putting anything in the room yet. But I am so excited! I have a lot of stuff to start putting in the room and decorating with!
